Privacy Policy
In short: this website collects no personal information. It uses no cookies, no analytics and no forms. It only keeps your language choice, on your device.
What this policy covers
This policy applies to the pitongames.com website. The Chosen One app has its own privacy policy.
Who is responsible
The website is published by Piton Games, an independent video game studio based in Québec.
The person in charge of the protection of personal information is Louis-Félix Pineault, founder of Piton Games. For any question about this policy or your information: support@pitongames.com.
What the website collects
The website asks you for no information, has you create no account and contains no forms.
It uses no analytics, no advertising pixels, no social media buttons and no other service that could track you. Fonts, images and scripts are all hosted on the pitongames.com domain: when you visit, your browser contacts no other website.
Cookies and local storage
The website uses no cookies.
If you pick a language with the FR / EN switch, that choice is saved in your browser’s local storage (localStorage) under the name “pg-langue”, with the value “fr” or “en”. It stays on your device, is never sent to me, and is only used to show the website in the right language on your next visit.
To erase it, clear the site data for pitongames.com in your browser settings.
Hosting
The website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., a company based in the United States. As with any website, Netlify’s servers receive the technical data needed to deliver the pages to you, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. Netlify may keep this data for a limited time in its logs, to run and protect its service. This data may therefore be processed outside Québec.
I do not use these logs to identify you, track you or measure audience, and I have not turned on any Netlify analytics tool. To learn more, see Netlify’s privacy policy.
If you email me
If you write to support@pitongames.com, I receive your email address and the content of your message. I only use them to answer you. I do not sell them, add them to any mailing list or share them with anyone other than the provider that hosts my email. I delete them once they are no longer needed to handle your request.
My email is hosted by Namecheap, Inc. (Private Email service), a company based in the United States. Your messages are therefore stored outside Québec, on Namecheap’s servers, which process them on my behalf under Namecheap’s own privacy policy.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete the personal information I hold about you, such as an email you sent me. Write to me at support@pitongames.com: I answer within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with my answer, you can contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (Québec’s access to information commission).
Legal framework
This policy is published in accordance with Québec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25.
Changes
If this policy changes, I will update the date at the top of this page.
